Description: Antique cabinet card of a gentleman in a head steadying brace by George William Clare Speight of Nuneaton. In an article in the Practical Photographer of May 1898, it describes his facilities... "His studio is well equipped with suitable accessories, and behind the workrooms in the basement is a large yard for taking football and other groups too large to be accommodated upstairs." Mr Speight was one of eight children, of which seven became photographers!
