Description: Nice antique CDV, circa 1893, by S. Glen Payne of Aylesbury, featuring a young child sitting in his studio. On the reverse, the child is named as "William John Tweddle, born July 22nd, 1892". Tweddle was a Second Lieutenant in the Essex Regiment, 4th Bn. He died 16 April 1917, aged 25 years old, the only son of George and H. E. Tweddle, of Nithsdale House, 161, Cambridge St., Aylesbury. He is buried at the Vermelles British Cemetery in France.
