Description: A nice antique CDV (Carte de Visite) of a seated gentleman in his garden, with a newspaper and glasses in hand. No studio name or details, but it has the familiar compass and square symbols of the Freemasons on the reverse and an ornate RV. These symbols usually relate to the sitter rather than the photographer. Circa 1865-70.
