Emmerdale Farm actor Toke Townley

Description: An amazing, very large b&w portrait photograph, on mount board, of the British character actor Toke Townley. Between 1951 and 1970, Townley appeared in almost 30 films, including "Lady Godiva Rides Again", "Doctor at Sea", "The Quatermass Xperiment", "The Admirable Crichton", "Doctor in Distress" and "Scars of Dracula". He went on to appear in many film and television roles over the years, including "The Avengers". Many of his roles were country bumpkins, but is best known for playing Sam Pearson in the original cast of "Emmerdale Farm" (now known simply as "Emmerdale"). He appeared in over 800 episodes of Emmerdale Farm.
