FlipFlash II flash bulb pack for vintage cameras
£2.00
Description: Once upon a time, cameras did not come with LED illumination, but rather with a socket / hot shoe that could fire a one-time-use flashbulb, which was then discarded and swapped for a new one for the next shot! An advance from this was the “FlipFlash” cartridge which held 8 or 10 flash bulbs, ganged up so that you could take one photo after another, without pausing to swap bulbs. Each time that you took a picture (exposing actual film!), the next flashbulb in the cartridge would fire. Ingenious!
This is an original FlipFlash II Prismatic pack by Wotan made in the 1970s. It appears to be unused (may still work - who knows!). Contains 8 flash bulbs.
