Description: A very lovely glass magic lantern slide photograph, hand-coloured, showing 2 men in a boat just on the shoreline and a third man pushing the boat to shore. The hand colouring of the seascape sea is really lovely. The top edge bears the handwritten information "NEAR MASCARA" and "Engines broken down 1936". Mascara is a city in Algeria.
