Description: A beautiful teal coloured slide viewer. The Paterson Viscount is a vintage, British-made portable, illuminated viewer designed for 35mm and 4cm x 4cm film slides. It features a built-in screen, providing a magnified, clear preview of slides, often powered by batteries and featuring a stand for desktop viewing. For battery-powered illuminated viewing of 2x2-inch (5x5) mounted slides (35mm or 4x4). Compact, portable design including a built-in stand for better viewing angles. Nearly identical to the "Paterson Trident" model, which was notoriously used as a prop in Star Wars! Lovely condition, immaculately clean internally, but not tested. Requires 2 x U2 (also known as D-cell or LR20) batteries. Manufactured in England during the 1960s and 1970s, and renowned for its quality.
