Description: A lovely portrait of Robert des Acres de l'Aigle (1843-1931) a French politician. He served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1885 to 1893. Portrait is by Wilhelm Benque of Paris. Interestingly, I can find no other photographic portraits of Robert de l'Aigle. Photo is printed onto board with a signature overprinted. Hand colouring on the sash.
