Description: An amazing, antique (sepia-coloured) photograph of a Victorian wedding party at York's Bootham Park 'Lunatic Asylum'. The scene features a well-dressed wedding party with gentlemen in fancy top hats, and smoking jackets, and ladies seated and standing in their finest dresses. The photograph was taken in the grounds of York's Bootham Park Hospital, which at this time was called the "County Lunatic Asylum", making this quite an unusual wedding venue! One of my favourites!

Date: c. 1860

Type: Albumen print

Condition: The print is a little faded and spotted as can be expected with a photo of this age.

Size : The photo is approximately 8" x 6" mounted on board (approximately 12" x 10").
