An antique Victorian Stereoview Card featuring the Houses of Parliament, London, with Big Ben. A rare view featuring street traffic and a photographer with a tripod. This is an original Victorian-era stereoview (stereograph) of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben in London. This fascinating 19th-century "3D" card depicts a busy Westminster street scene with horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians, and features a photographer clearly visible in the foreground with a tripod, creating a "meta" moment of Victorian photography. Printed title "333 HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT." Albumen prints on a classic buff/yellow square-cornered card mount. This is a wonderful addition for collectors of Londoniana, Victorian photography, or those who enjoy viewing history through a stereoscope.

Date: Circa 1860s - 1870s.

Type: Stereographic photo

Condition: Good vintage condition. Light foxing and age-appropriate wear as shown in photos. The mount is sturdy with no major creases (please see images for details).
