Midland Hotel Divers

The image nods to the nostalgic heritage of Morecambe, with suggestions of the famous "Aqua Loonies", comedy diving acts from the 1950s/60s and "Miss Great Britain" contestants. Morecambe was home to the Miss Great Britain beauty pageant from 1956 to 1989, which originally started in 1945 as the "Bathing Beauty Queens" contest held at the town's Super Swimming Stadium.
